Annie Smith's "Understanding Color"
Annie is a Professional Quilter by career definition. Whenever anyone asks her what she does for a living, that's her answer. The next thing they ask her is how much she get for her quilts (assuming that she sells them). When she tells them that she doesn’t sell her work and sees the confusion in their eyes, she tells them she is a Quilt Imagineer, an instructor and lecturer, designer and pattern publisher, an author, a producer of online classes, a Quilt Judge, a BERNINA Ambassador, an Aurifil Aurifilosopher, a LauraStar Ambassador, a Cherrywood Fabrics Ambassador, an iquilt and Annie's Craft store Instructor, and a creator—she developed "Quilting Stash", the first podcast for quilters.
You could say that she wears several hats.

Vicky Owen will present a trunk show
Vickie says she has been in love with vintage textiles for as long as she can remember. Both of her grandmothers were quilters, embroiderers, lace makers, knitters, etc. Throughout the years, she explored handwork, but did not have the time for quilting until her first grandchild announced her arrival 20 years ago! That baby quilt started Vickie’s love affair with quilting, and she just cannot stop! The variety of quilt designs and techniques seemed endless to her. She favors the traditional quilts of her grandmothers but has also made more than a few modern quilts. Vickie is a member of multiple quilt guilds, and her quilts have shown in shows from San Antonio to Austin to Dallas and even Houston. In 2023, three of her Laura Heine collage quilts were juried into a special exhibition at the Texas State Quilt Museum. Quilting is truly and art form, Vickie says, and she is honored to represent the legacy of her grandmothers and the future of textile art.
