Helping Children Make A Quilt Full Of Memories. . . |
| One of the community projects of the New
Braunfels Area Quilt Guild involves working
with Hope Hospice to create a Children's
Memory Quilt each year. The children's
Crayon drawings, depicting a memory of their
loved one, are made into quilt blocks by
guild volunteers. They are then
assembled into a beautiful Memory
Quilt. This year the Hope Hospice Children's Grief Quilt was dedicated at a picnic and balloon release on May 23, 2011. NBAQG quilters who worked on this project are: Mary Salmon (chair, pictured on the right), Sandy Jackson (pictured on the left), and not pictured are Sandy Rich, Kerry Nicholson, Jacqui Kirk and Wilma Hurt. |
